Meet our new CEO, David Jordan

Building momentum through strategic continuity.

Bader Rutter has named David Jordan its new chief executive officer (CEO), only the fourth over the agency’s 50-year history. And with this change, Bader Rutter begins a new era focused relentlessly on the guiding principle: “To be an idea-first culture with the deepest knowledge and strongest business acumen of any agency.”

David helped author that principle, which captures his belief that profound business knowledge underpins the best marketing and the most captivating, effective work. It’s a lesson he learned multiple times throughout his more than two decades of firsthand business and marketing strategy experience across the agency, and in private equity and consulting.

“David is a dynamic, bold leader with a vision for the future of Bader Rutter and the B2B marketing industry. He fundamentally believes that Bader Rutter is uniquely positioned to connect business strategy with human insights and creativity to drive client success in a quickly shifting B2B marketing industry.”  Jeff Young, Bader Rutter Chairman

In addition to leading Bader Rutter, David also serves on the executive board of directors for BBN, the world’s largest B2B agency collective. In that role, Jordan works closely with global marketing leaders representing over 500 brands across 30 countries and 71 offices to address complex and ever-evolving client challenges.

Recently, Bader Rutter again earned the title of B2B Marketing’s #1 U.S. B2B agency for the third consecutive year. And it continues to pick up high-profile industry awards, including over 140 national and international wins and shortlist recognitions across the top industry awards during the past five years.

Today, Bader Rutter has the healthiest, most diverse client portfolio in its history with more than $200B in market cap due to our driven, talented team and David’s strategic guidance and leadership.

“We’re incredibly proud of our recent wins because they showcase how creativity solves business challenges. Our Bader Rutter team is unafraid to reimagine and push boundaries. And we look for client partners willing to do the same.”

Three fun facts about David:

  • He credits walking bean fields as a kid on his family’s central Illinois farm with shaping his work ethic – something he believes would benefit every teenager.
  • His cattle genetics have produced a bumper crop of purple banners at dairy shows around the world, and he takes particular pride in Rosie, a prize-winning Jersey.
  • Rather shockingly for anyone who knows him, he characterizes himself as an introvert who tries (generally very successfully) to be an extreme extrovert.

David assumes the CEO role as part of a strategic succession plan. As part of these purposeful leadership changes, Tom Posta remains president and Jeff Young remains chairman of the board of directors to ensure leadership team continuity.
