Bader Rutter teams up with Southern Smoke Foundation
Bader Rutter is partnering with Southern Smoke Foundation (SSF) to ease hardships for restaurant workers nationwide.
We are serving as its B2B agency of record. Together, we will further SSF’s mission of supporting members in the food and beverage industry through emergency relief funding and access to mental health services.
With our deep connections in the B2B foodservice world, we are bringing our strategic and creative acumen to support SSF’s public relations, sponsorships and other creative outreach efforts. And as this foundation continues to make a huge impact, we couldn’t be more excited to help further enhance its presence across the country.
“Our mission is to take care of our own by putting money into the pockets of those who put food on the table. That includes everyone from farmers to fry cooks, servers to sommeliers. We want to work with other businesses that understand the complexities of our industry, and Bader Rutter’s rich history in agriculture, foodservice and food production is a fantastic fit.”

Since its founding, the Southern Smoke Foundation has distributed nearly $15 million. In 2024, the foundation granted more than $2.7 million to food and beverage workers nationwide and provided more than 7,000 no-cost mental health counseling sessions in ten states, with plans to add three more states in 2025.
Led by our foodservice practice lead, Laoise Rubio, we are developing a communications strategy and integrated plan to generate awareness and further SSF’s mission. Our specific goals are to help SSF build connections with foodservice manufacturers to support funding for workers in need of emergency relief, mental health support and daily essentials.
Stay tuned for more exciting developments and event opportunities as we continue to work with SSF.
